On Monday, we enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Dallas Arboretum. I have wanted to go to Dallas Blooms for a long time and was so glad to get to go this year! It turned out to be a great place to take a little one. We had a beautiful day. It was a little bit windy, but a nice cloud cover made it a great temperature to enjoy being outdoors. It was wonderful to get to enjoy some of God's wonderful creativity and beautiful nature that he created with all the flowers that were in bloom. I was hoping to get some better pictures of Alyssa with the flowers, but she was so interested in discovering the ground that we couldn't get her to look up and smile. Oh well. Here are a few of the pictures that we did get. Hope you are enjoying spring as we are!

It's hard to believe that Alyssa will be 6 months old on Wednesday. It is a lot of fun to watch her learn new things every day.

She has recently:

• Mastered rolling over from front to back and back to front
• Started sitting well on her own
• Started drinking from a sippy cup
• Started eating some solid foods. Well..."eating" might be a stretch...tasting is actually more like it. : )
• Scooting around on the floor
• Passing objects well from one hand to the other
• Teething! She has not really been too fussy, and her first tooth has not appeared yet...but I can feel them a little bit on her gums.
• Loves to laugh when she is tickled on her belly
• Loves turning pages (and eating them) when reading books

Here are some pictures that I took today. With the weather being warm for a few days now it is starting to feel like spring around here, so I thought we'd take a few pictures with the tulips.
